AN ONLINE (AND IN-PERSON) EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE OF ECUMENICAL AND INTERFAITH RELATIONS

This October marks the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, Vatican II’s Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions. Having grown up in a home in which ecumenical discussions were vital, Prof. Susannah Heschel will recount personal memories of her father, Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, and of the many Christian theologians and clergy who came to their home. She will give particular attention to the relationship between Rabbi Heschel and Augustin Cardinal Bea, charting theological directions regarding divine inspiration and prophecy for new baseline for Jewish and interreligious relations in the Catholic Church. In this Holy Year of Jubilee, join as a Pilgrim of Hope, as we work together with other faith communities in friendship for the common good.
